Hilton Garden Inn Project on Schedule Despite Winter Weather
March 23, 2005
MANCHESTER - The Hilton Garden Inn adjacent to Manchester’s new ballpark is moving forward despite a prolonged winter.
Building site work has been completed and 450 specialized foundation footings are now being installed at the multi-million dollar project. Since December crews have been removing unsuitable building materials including 2,000 cubic yards of buried cement and 1,500 tons of corrupted soil leftover from the BNM Railroad Roundhouse that operated in the early 1900’s.
“The planning and building departments have been great to work with,” explained Roedel. “We’re looking forward to getting started on the second phase of this project.”
The project has now entered the super-structure phase, which will last through this summer. Over the next few months Manchester residents and visitors to the city will see concrete and steel framing being constructed to form the backdrop of the new ballpark’s left center field. The final construction phase is on schedule for early fall and the hotel plans to open next January.
Roedel Companies LLC owns the hotel, is overseeing general contracting and will manage the hotel through its management company, Granite Lodging Group LLC. Site work was subcontracted through TRB Development of Hooksett, and the project was designed by BMA Architectural Group of Amherst.
“Both TRB and BMA have done an amazing job on this project. TRB ensured our site work phase stayed on track even through a difficult winter,” said Roedel.
