The Roedel Company–History
Hilton Garden Inn of Manchester Internationally Recognized
March 23, 2005 MANCHESTER – At their annual conference in Las Vegas, Nevada this February, The Hilton Hotels Corporation recognized the Hilton Garden Inn adjacent to Manchester’s new ballpark as one of the company’s Deals of the Year in 2004.
Citing perseverance and cooperation between all parties involved in the project, Hilton’s corporate office presented the award to Roedel Companies, LLC, who is developing the Hilton Garden Inn at the ballpark.
“It is remarkable that a worldwide company such as Hilton Hotels Corporation has recognized a local project in Manchester as one of its 2004 Deals of the Year,” said David Roedel. “It just goes to show the continued growth and positive economic development Manchester is experiencing.”
When completed, the multi-million dollar Hilton Garden Inn project will be a six-story, 127 room hotel that will make the backdrop for Manchester’s new minor league ballpark. The project was faced with many challenges, including forming an agreement with the city to purchase the land, and removing over 2,000 cubic yards of in-ground concrete leftover from the BNM Railroad Roundhouse that operated in the early 1900’s.
Roedel Companies LLC owns the hotel, is overseeing general contracting and will manage the hotel through its management company, Granite Lodging Group LLC. Site work was subcontracted through TRB Development of Hooksett, and the project was designed by BMA Architectural Group of Amherst.
Construction should conclude in late 2005, with the grand opening of the Hilton Garden Inn slated for January, 2006.
